AI doesn't have to be slop. Someone just has to care.

Generic answers and confident nonsense are what you get when nobody's steering.

I'm Ming, and Useful Bots is my small company. I build AI for one kind of business at a time, carefully, and I stay with every job it does.

What we do

  • Food hygiene re-rating

Got a low food hygiene rating? Send us your business name and we'll send a free checklist built from your public scores. It shows which score to fix first. If you want, we'll do the paperwork side of the re-rating request too.

    See how it works
  • AI receptionist for trades

For emergency plumbers. It answers the calls you can't pick up, takes the details and texts them to you.

AI doesn't know your business.

It doesn't know your kitchen, your council or your customers. It doesn't mind being wrong. So it fills the gaps with something that sounds right and isn't.

That's what makes most AI output useless. The problem isn't the tool. Nobody was steering it.

We do the steering. We start from your real situation, tell the AI exactly what's needed and read every word before it goes out. If it's generic, we rewrite it. If it's wrong, we fix it.

The AI does the heavy lifting. We do the caring.

How we work

We pick one real problem and solve it properly. That beats a tool that does a bit of everything.

We write in plain English. If something needs a sentence of jargon, we explain it.

We tell you the price before you decide anything.

We tell you what we can't do. For example, we can't promise a food hygiene rating. Only the council decides that.

Who's behind this

I'm Ming. Useful Bots is my company, and for now it's just me.

I started it because I think AI can be genuinely useful. But only when someone takes the time to learn one kind of business and builds carefully for the people in it. Without that, you get slop.

So I pick one real problem, like a low food hygiene rating or the calls a plumber can't pick up, and build one thing that solves it properly. I set it up, I check what it produces, and I fix it when it's wrong.

Useful Bots isn't part of any council, regulator or big tech firm. When you email, I read it and I reply.
