Rated low? There's a way back.
Anyone can look up your rating on the FSA's ratings website. The FSA says the scheme is there to help customers choose where to eat. A 0, 1 or 2 makes that choice for them.
We'll show you which of your three scores is holding you back, and what to fix first. It's built from your own public scores, and it's free.
Just your business name and email. No call, no obligation.
Example
Your checklist
- Hygiene: 15
- Structure: 10
- Management: 20 (start here)
Total 45. That's a 1.
Bring management to 10 and you're at 35. That's a 2.
First step: start the Safer Food, Better Business daily diary today.
How it works
Three steps. The first two are free.
Step 1. Reply to our email.
Or email us here with your business name. That's all we need to find your scores.
Step 2. Get your free checklist.
We build it from your public FSA scores. It shows what each score means, which one to fix first, and the maths for each rating up to 5.
Step 3. If you want, we write your re-rating request.
Send us a photo of your inspection letter. We write your request to the council so it answers each point the officer raised. Your kitchen does the fixes. The council decides the rating. This part is optional. The checklist is yours either way.
You run the kitchen. We do the homework.
Your rating is three scores, not one.
At your inspection, the officer scored three things. Lower is better on each one. Your rating comes from all three together.
Food hygiene. How food is prepared, cooked, cooled and stored.
Structure. The state of the building: cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation and pest control.
Confidence in management. Your processes, training and records, and whether good hygiene will keep happening.
Your checklist shows which one is holding you back, and what to do about it.
The checklist is free. Really.
No card, no catch. Reply and we'll send it.

We'll tell you the price in our reply, before you decide anything.
We can't promise a rating. Only the council decides that.
Questions you're probably asking
Are you the council or the FSA?
No. We're Useful Bots, a small independent business. We don't do inspections or give ratings.
Where do you get my scores and my email address?
Your scores come from the FSA's public food hygiene ratings website. Your council uploads every rating there, and anyone can look it up. Your email address came from your website or a public business listing. Don't want to hear from us? Reply "stop" and you won't.
How does re-rating work, and can you guarantee it?
If you got anything below a 5, you can ask your council for a re-rating inspection once you've made the improvements the officer asked for. Some councils charge a fee, and your rating letter or the council's website will tell you. The officer looks at everything again, not just what you fixed, so the rating can go up, down or stay the same. So no, we can't guarantee it, and nobody honest can. Only the council decides. We help you be ready.
Is there anything I can do while I wait?
Yes. Use your right to reply. You tell customers what you've improved, and your council publishes it next to your rating. You can send it any time before your next inspection.
What does the letter do that I can't?
Nothing you couldn't do yourself, given the time. We read your inspection letter and write a re-rating request that answers each point the officer raised. You check it and send it. Your kitchen still does the physical fixes.
Is this done by AI?
We use the latest AI to do the heavy lifting. A person who cares drives it and checks every page before it reaches you. You get something specific to your kitchen, not generic AI output.
